Cleaning House

Cleaning “HOUSE”

A collection of things lying around in an untidy mass is defined as (clutter).

If we really take the time to analyze ourselves we will come to the realization that this is symbolically what our lives looks like.

Our brains are crowded with ideas

Our daily life is disorganized

Our emotions are mixed

Our thoughts are clouded

….And we need to “tidy up”

It is difficult to function when things are a mess. Messiness can affect our relationships, thinking processes, and how well we navigate through our world.

For example, you can have the greatest ideas but if it’s not strategically planned and mapped out then all you have are ideas compiled inside your head anxiously waiting to be put to action. Then your life becomes disorganized because you cannot figure how or where to start, as well as who to connect with. Frustration sets in so you lay that plan of action down and start another. You find yourself in a repetitive cycle of adding more stress to your already overcrowded and clouded brain. You have given it so much thought that now you are incapable of thinking consecutively and your body is starting to physically take on what your cognition cannot. Your mind jumps from one concept to next and this disorganization can lead to mixed emotions. Mixed emotions of depression, isolation, and random outbursts of anger. Now your thinking is filled with negativity. You are not sure of anything at this point and want to give it all up. You have officially cluttered your “house”.

Have you heard the saying “It’s time to get your house in order”?

your house being mind, body, spirit, and soul

For that to happen, unnecessary items from an untidy place or environment has to be removed.

(de-clutter)

Your brain- take one idea at a time and work the vision for that, do not crowd your brain with too many ideas that you overwhelm yourself to the point you decide to give it all up.

Daily life- create a schedule for your daily life, leave nothing unplanned. Make sure to schedule time to rest and reset. Designate a time where you do nothing but focus on only ONE vision and you are unreachable during this time, unless there is an emergency. Also, detach yourself from too much television and social media. Have the mindset that if it’s not on your schedule, you are not supposed to accomplish it and if it does not correlate with what your focus is do not schedule it.

Emotions- become so in-tuned with your feelings that you understand what to do and how to recover your best mental state when required.

Thoughts- do not overthink, all things are done according to Gods’ will.

In this preparation process of waiting for your promises to be fulfilled make sure you are cleaning your house as often as it is needed. Just as you refuse reside in a dirty house, you must have the same approach about your mind, body, spirit, and soul.
